Twenty-four years of other people's hardest transitions.

Randi Bryant founded Bryant Consulting Group in 2001, in Alexandria, Virginia, to design and deliver training for organizations putting something new in place. The early work was commercial — Comcast, Unisys, Starwood Hotels, now Marriott International — and the pattern in every engagement was the same. The training was fine. The organization around it had not been prepared.

That observation became the business. Over the following decade the firm was certified as an SBA 8(a) small business and later graduated from the program, delivering for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, the Department of Transportation, SAIC and the Government of the District of Columbia, and growing past fifty client organizations across 41 states and seven countries.

The turning point was the Department of Energy. As part of the Energy Enterprise Solutions team on a $1 billion competitively sourced award, we provided the training and organizational change management that carried a federal workforce through a transition of its IT services. Change management stopped being one service among several and became the center of the practice.

From 2011 until the summer of 2024 we spent thirteen continuous years on the NIH Business System, the National Institutes of Health’s federal financial and administrative system supporting a $40 billion budget. We led change management, then built the program management office from the ground up — governing the full project life cycle for upgrades to the system and writing the policies and procedures that ran its operations and maintenance organization — and earned three additional contract years for performance.

Today change management and program management are the practice, with training as the capability that makes them work. We are actively pursuing commercial engagements and state and local programs, beginning with the District of Columbia.
